About Me
Hi, I’m Mahema.
I didn’t originally plan to work in tech. I studied Graphic Design, drawn to creativity and visual storytelling, but over time I found myself more curious about what happens behind the scenes — how things actually work, how systems connect, and how ideas turn into something functional.
After graduating, I worked in the charity sector as a Social Media Associate, where I learned how to think quickly, communicate clearly, and manage work in a fast-paced environment. It was a role that pushed me to be adaptable and collaborative, often balancing multiple priorities at once.
From there, I made the shift into tech. I had the opportunity to work on real-world systems, gaining hands-on experience and working closely with different teams to understand how everything fits together. What I’ve enjoyed most isn’t just the technical side, but the process of figuring things out — breaking down complex ideas, asking questions, and making things easier to understand.
This blog is a space for me to document that journey.
I’m still exploring where I fit — whether that means continuing along my current path or branching out into something new. I’m learning, experimenting, and building my skills as I go, sharing the wins, the challenges, and everything in between.
Outside of work, I enjoy baking — something I once avoided because of how precise you have to be. But over time, I’ve come to appreciate that balance between structure and creativity, and it’s a mindset I carry into everything I do.
If you’re also figuring things out, exploring new paths, or navigating your way through tech (or beyond), you’re in the right place.
